December 20, 2015 - Uncategorized
Atnic, an Indmira’s partner in agriculture monitoring, has won one of the highest prizes at ISHOW (Innovation Showcase) held by ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) in Pune, India. Their apparatus, called BlumbangReksa and used for monitoring the chemical and physical conditions of a fish farm, impressed the judges and was chosen as one of the top three innovations. The only representative from Indonesia at this international technology competition, their innovation was chosen to be one of the 12 finalists from all over the world.
This device can make fish farming more environmentally friendly by closely monitoring the fish ponds for DO (dissolved oxygen), temperature, humidity, pH, salinity and TDS (total dissolved solid). The read out information can then be received on mobile devices via SMS or the world wide web. With this device, farmers will be able to manage water quality optimally and the shrimp farming practice can be more environmentally friendly.
For their achievment, Atnic will receive a significant amount of funding that will be used towards further research to develop similar equipments for other branches or agriculture.Hopefully this effort will get us closer to providing more technological innovations that are applicable for regular people in the fields. Becoming a self-sufficient country in technology may not only be a dream after all.
We would like to extend our gratitudes to everyone involved in this project.
